Return of the Other Online Casino Games

Whew, I’ve had a whirlwind into to online casino USA games. I’ve been though the main games, so the time had come to check out the games that I’d never even heard of before, let alone knew how to play. Things were looking up…

The first game that I ran into was an Asian-looking thing with all sorts of weird boxes and symbols and the title was: Sic Bo. Whoa. I think that’s Chinese for “you’re out of your league, little man.”

Well, I never backed down from a challenge by an imaginary personification of an Asian casino game before in my entire life, and I wasn’t about to start now. “You’re on,” I growled, and placed my wager.

Long story short, I’m going to read up on Sic Bo before I go back. I’m sure it’s not as complicated as it seems, but I have this weird feeling that the Yakuza are going to come looking for me if I keep playing without having any clue what I’m doing.

So I decided to make my next sojourn a bit closer to home. How about the Caribbean?

Yep, Caribbean Poker is now one of my new favorite games (right up there with online slots, if you can believe it). It was a cinch to pick up, and I seemed to have better luck than usual (as in, I had good luck at all!).

It’s not REALLY poker, of course (any Texas Hold’em snob will tell you that, whether you ask or not), but it’s a fun player-versus-dealer game based on poker. Since my poker skills really aren’t at a point where I’d like to show them off in public, Caribbean Poker fills my empty poker void with rich, creamy Caribbean goodness.

Okay, flush with success, I decided to try another wild card: Pontoon. All I could think of was World War II movies (you know, Army Corps of Engineers and all that), but the game of Pontoon turned out to be a fun variant of blackjack (or maybe a cousin, or a predecessor…it’s a “21″ game, anyway, and you’ll pick it up immediately if you have even a tiny familiarity with blackjack or pazaak).
